Cross Language Information Retrieval : a Research Roadmap

چکیده

This paper presents a dictionary-based query translation and construction method for CLIR. The framework focuses on solving morphological and lexical problems in CLIR generally between many language pairs. An application based on this method, the extendable UTACLIR system, capable of performing query translations between several source and target language pairs, with a relatively easy interface to change and add new external resources like morphological normalisers, dictionaries and stop word lists will be available free to academic users.
